In the new thriller, The Whisper Man, streaming on Netflix, audiences are presented with a chilling tale of a father and son ensnared in a harrowing investigation following the disappearance of a child. The narrative centers on Tom Kennedy, portrayed by Adam Scott, a crime novelist and widower who relocates to his childhood town with his son, Jake. Their return is marked by a series of child abductions that eerily echo the crimes of a notorious killer, despite the original culprit being behind bars.
Adding depth to the story is Robert De Niro, who plays Pete, a retired detective and Tom’s estranged father. Years prior, Pete was instrumental in capturing the now-imprisoned serial murderer, and he is forced to revisit these dark memories when Jake vanishes. Michelle Monaghan stars as Detective Amanda, who joins forces with Tom and Pete, as they race against time to solve the mystery and find Jake.
