Date:

Range Rover has introduced its inaugural fully electric sport utility vehicle in the UK, with a starting price set at £154,070. Interested buyers can now place their orders, with the first batch of deliveries anticipated in 2027. This new electric addition to the Range Rover lineup will be produced at the Jaguar Land Rover facility located in Solihull, UK, signifying a pivotal move for the company in its transition towards electrification.

The electric SUV is equipped with dual electric motors capable of generating up to 550PS and 850Nm of torque. This enables the vehicle to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.3 seconds. Additionally, it boasts an impressive driving range of up to 372 miles, as per the WLTP testing standards. The innovative 118.5kWh battery supports 800-volt charging technology, which allows for rapid charging from 10% to 80% within approximately 22 minutes, provided ideal conditions are met.

Maintaining Range Rover’s signature luxury and off-road prowess, the electric SUV incorporates a powertrain and enhanced aerodynamic features befitting its electric nature. It is designed to handle a variety of terrains, including the ability to wade through water depths of up to 900mm. This new model represents years of dedicated research and development, ensuring it meets the high standards associated with the brand.

The production of the Range Rover Electric is complemented by Jaguar Land Rover’s Wolverhampton facility, which is responsible for manufacturing battery packs and electric drive units. This collaboration between facilities underlines the company’s commitment to supporting the shift towards electric mobility.
