Operation Sindoor: India Destroys 9 Terror Camps in 25 Minutes in Retaliation for Pahalgam Attack

Date:

In a decisive and high-precision operation, the Indian armed forces executed ‘Operation Sindoor’ in the early hours of May 7, neutralizing nine major terror camps across Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) within a span of just 25 minutes.

The swift and targeted military action came in direct response to the Pahalgam terror attack that claimed 26 lives, an assault officials say was intended to destabilize Kashmir’s path to normalcy.

Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri emphasized that Indian intelligence had warned of imminent threats, making the operation both a deterrent and a defensive necessity. “Our strike was precise, proportionate, and focused solely on dismantling terrorist infrastructure,” he said at a press briefing.

Colonel Sofiya Qureshi detailed the targeted locations, all linked to terror outfits including Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), and Hizbul Mujahideen. These camps included Muridke and Sialkot in Pakistan, and Muzaffarabad and Kotli in PoK—each historically associated with training and launching cross-border attacks.

Wing Commander Vyomika Singh confirmed the use of advanced weaponry such as SCALP cruise missiles and HAMMER precision bombs. She underlined that all sites were selected based on solid intelligence and were carefully chosen to avoid civilian casualties.

“Operation Sindoor demonstrates India’s resolve to counter terrorism surgically and responsibly,” Singh added, reaffirming India’s commitment to securing its borders and preventing future attacks.
